We created MESO to fill a dire need to support caregiving and grief with compassion and a cultural lens. Now, there is an option that openly and abundantly centers immigrant families and their next generations.

ABOUT US

MESO emerged from our own needs and experiences as long-distance caregivers.

As daughters of Korean and Thai immigrants, we each have searched for resources in the lead-up to and aftermath of our parents’ departures. Grief and end-of-life resources are plentiful, but nothing in the landscape acknowledged the complexities of our familial dynamics, culture, and immigrant experiences. There was no support from a multicultural perspective, so we created MESO.

We generate connections and possibilities for our immigrant communities. We address challenges of caregiving, unspoken loss, and grief with culturally informed workshops, online courses, and 1:1 or community grief support.  In creating compassionate spaces and offering resources, we aim to inform, cultivate capacity, and support any immigrant family in one of the most vulnerable and important times of life.
